Kate had her first season of soccer this last Fall. We were lucky to get our friend, Darren Hyatt, as her coach. Many of her friends also ended up on the team, which was a definite bonus. Kate was excited to play soccer but was not a fan of the heat. She loved kicking the ball if it didn't involve chasing it down the field in 90 degree weather, and I can't blame her. Kate's favorite part of the soccer season was the 'Cheetah Chant'. They would all put their hands in the middle of the team circle and then throw their hands high in the air yelling…'Goooooo Cheetah's!" Every time she finished the chant she would look at me with the biggest grin. It was a riot to watch a bunch of three-years old run the field and kick the ball in whatever goal was the closest at the moment. ;)
