Our Lil' Crawler

Abby has had a big week with 'Baby Milestones'...

and another milestone:
TEETHING...

This is the face I have seen quite frequently throughout the process. Poor baby, she's in a lot of pain.
But, she is still a HaPpY baby even with the pain.

This is Abby getting ready to ride in the car while holding her penguin.

Finally, here is Abby crawlin' away from 'the scene', after pulling all the magazines and binders off the shelf...the lil' stinker. I'm in for it!

2009 National Half Marathon

We did it! Last Saturday, Brett and I ran the National Half Marathon. It was a fun race and a great memory. The race route went past the National Mall and passed through the avenues in DC. There a lot of neat buildings we ran past.

Running feels so good! I love it when you get to the end of the race and you have the 'runners high'... it is the best feeling. There is nothing like working hard toward a goal and reaching the finish line. My mom has always been an inspiration to me for running. She has been going ever since I can remember and still is...Thanks Mom!

We were able to run the race with our friends, Reese, Mike and Bishop Stewart. Tom was a good man and took Abby with the girls and met us at the end. Friday Night, we enjoyed a yummy CARB Dinner at the Stewart's, which kept us going for the race. Thanks for the good food!

Enjoying a round of Rock Band at the Bishop's.

Ellie Stewart demonstrating her Rock Band skills.

Reese all ready to run!

We had a great time...

Bring on the next race!!

Dedicated to Dave...

This post is dedicated to Uncle Dave. It looks like Abby is following in his footsteps because she hates applesauce. Brett and I both love applesauce but Abby obviously has a different opinion. She likes veggies more than fruit at the moment.

National Aquarium

We spent Friday Night at the National Aquarium. A good friend told us that you can get cheap tickets if you go after 5pm, so we took advantage of the great advice and went. The aquarium was pretty impressive. It was fairly large and even had a Dolphin Show. Abby loved watching the fish. She would kick her legs and flap her arms as we walked her around. Her favorite part was the PENGUINS and the SHARKS.

(A lot of the pictures didn't turn out because it was dark throughout the whole aquarium...oh well.)

A common pose for Abby... checking everything out.
PENGUINS!!! A personal favorite for Abby.

Fish attack!

Blending in with the sea creatures.

The Dolphin Show. Our camera died during the show so we couldn't take a video...sad. Abby's favorite was the dolphin named 'Spirit.'

The aquarium is located along the Baltimore Harbor so it was pretty to walk along the bay at night.

Snow for Spring Break!

'I looked out the window and what did I see'...SNOW!

It's Spring Break for Brett and to start it off we got a surprise....SNOW! Ironic, but true. This snow storm was the biggest we have seen since we have lived here. It actually stuck to the ground and will probably stay for the rest of the week. All the broadcasters say it is 'bitter cold' and we have to laugh because it's only in the 20's. I must say that this was a beautiful storm and we have a great view from our window. Abby had fun watching the flakes fall to the ground. We are enjoying a little taste of white, fluffy goodness.

Impressive storm for DC.
