4 Months

Kate is now 4 months old, I can't believe it. Time just seems to get faster and faster with each child. She is getting big and has adorable 'thunder thighs'. A lot has changed this month with rolling, giggling and showing a lot more personality. She has definitely discovered her hands and will have them in her mouth 90% of the time. Something Kate loves is a good cuddle. Whether it's cuddled in mom's arms or having a soft blanket right up close to her face, she loves to cuddle. It's great to watch her learn about the world. She's a lot of fun to have around. I just melt when she looks at me with those big blue eyes.

She loves to chew on Abby's finger. (Don't worry, I washed her hands.)

Abby loves her sister and the other day she starting singing this song for her. Too funny. The kid is full of energy.

70 Degrees

The weather is perfect in Virginia right now. It's warm and sunny with little humidity...heaven. We had to soak up the awesome weather before the mosquitos set in, so we picked up Brett from work and headed to the park. Abby loved playing in the tree with daddy as the sun set.

Sunday Walk

Last Sunday we went for a walk to enjoy the beautiful blossoms. Luckily Brett had his phone to take some pictures. It was such a gorgeous day and nice to breathe in the Spring air. The girls couldn't have been happier to explore outside as we walked. I love this picture of them. Kate's facial expression is too funny.

Habit

Baby Kate has a habit of sticking her little tongue out the side of her mouth. She had to have her tongue clipped a month after she was born so now she's happy to be able to move it all around.

Got Sleep?

Abby can sleep anywhere when she is tired enough. It's rare to find her actually sleeping in her covers. Usually she's dangling off the edge, upside down or on the floor. Sometimes I wonder why we even got her a bed. Here's proof:

She is sound asleep in all these pictures.

Backwards Dive

Abby took a bit of a dive the other day. Her toilet seat was removed for a time so others could use the facilities and it wasn't returned to its position. At about 6:30am we hear a loud scream and a cry for help. We run to see what had happened and Abby is folded in half in the toilet. The poor girl was a bit sleepy getting on the potty and assumed her seat was there. She fell right in the pot and was folded in half. She obviously couldn't get out. I would scream too. Rough day for Miss Abby.
