Bluebonnets 2014

There is a small lake near our home that has fields of bluebonnets in the Spring.  Every year in April you can find lots of people walking through the fields and enjoying the perfect weather.  It has become tradition for us the to go fly kites and take pictures there at peak bloom, it's beautiful.  Wild flowers are my favorite.

Mason was a good sport with all the wind.

March 2014

Since I am obviously playing 'catch-up,' March can be summarized in two parts:
Part 1.  Being great with child, which included strangers frequently touching my belly and asking me why I hadn't delivered yet.
Part 2: Being in a zombie state of sleep deprivation while recovering from delivery, but with awesome perks of newborn cuddles.
March was by far our best month for the fact Mason joined us and his birth has a special place in my heart, but my brain is just a bit fuzzy with all it entailed. ;)

Lots of walks and the dolls obviously had to come along.
Kate managed to fit 6 dolls in one stroller. (Must utilize all the space.)

Many visits to the Thinkery Museum because my pregnant body could sit and the kids were entertained.

Many meltdowns…it's like they could sense the big change coming in their life.

We got a piano the day before Mason was born. I can't tell you how nice it is to have music in our home again.

Pj school day and lunch. Kate felt like she was a celebrity to eat school lunch like the cool kids.

Popcorn and a movie at the school = Chaos.

Shopping…

One of their favorite games.

Not loving his first bath.

Baby Pictures

Children grow up way too fast.  I can't believe these pictures were taken just 4 months ago because he has already changed so much. This reminds me that I need to really savor the time I have with my kids. The days may seem long with the constant demands but time really does fly and I can't let it escape from me.

This cradle is the one I slept in as a baby.  My parents were kind and drove it out to us.

Mason at 1 month…
