Happy Easter!

We had a wonderful Easter! The sun was shining and it was a great day to reflect and remember our Savior. We LoVe this time of year!

These are some pictures that I took at the Iwo Jima Memorial. The Tulips were everywhere, it was beautiful and Abby had a lot of fun.

Checking out the flowers.
Crawlin' all around the tulips.
Seriously contemplating...

And she's headed off to explore...

It was great to just get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather in DC.
Here is Abby enjoying her Easter basket. She got really excited about the empty eggs.

Happy Easter Everyone!

Let's Go Fly a Kite!

It's Spring! Every year to kick off the Spring season, Washington DC has the Annual Kite Festival. The Kite Festival is one of our favorite things. Last year we went and our kite sadly did not fly. This year we bought a fun dragon kite at Costco in hopes it would put on a good show and it only flew a little...bummer. Ironically, the FREE Smithsonian kite we were given by some friends flew the highest. Gotta luv the freebies! The dragon was cool looking, but a wimp when it came to flying.

Here's Brett trying to get the dragon to lift its wings.

Abby all ready to fly a kite!

We enjoyed a day around the monuments with the cherry blossoms in the distance! Can't wait til next year!
The gorgeous blossoms!

Surprise Visit!

Watching the plans go by...
Surprise! We made a visit to Utah without telling my Mom or Laura. Dave drove all the way down from Idaho to pick us up and took us to the house. (Thanks Dave!) At first we were mistaken as 'prowlers' with the initial shock. But, soon enough, they had Abby in arms reading her Peter Rabbit in the old rocking chair.

We were able to see my Dad and Laura in the Stake Musical: "Back to Broadway" which was amazing! The musical was put together from pieces of many different musicals and they both had lead roles in different shows, Bye Bye Birdie, Footloose, and High School Musical. Way to go!

Laura is in the group of girls 'swooning' after Conrad. The picture on the right, is Laura dancing in High School Musical.

Laura played the part of Ursula in Bye, Bye Birdie, and was a one of the girls in Footloose. She was quite the dancer! Go Sup! :)

Dad played the 'old man' or the 'husband' in Bye Bye Birdie. Here is his famous line: "I am not an Old Man!"...

The finale of the musical...

We also celebrated Dave's 25th birthday! To celebrate, Dave got out the old pellet gun made some nice shots in the backyard with grandpa. :) We enjoyed Dave's favorite caramel cake with family and had a great time.
Dave and Alissa ready to shot some cans with Grandpa.

Grandpa has a great shot! He knocked down all kinds of cans.

The weekend was nice to enjoy General Conference together and of course...'Girl's Night'. We made our rounds with shopping and played games. Good times!

Eating at the California Pizza Kitchen.

Abby enjoying avocado at the Pizza Kitchen. She LoVeS avocado, just like Pops!

Shopping around!

Lunch with Shano! Abby loved sitting on her new motorcycle.

Abby even made her first trip to the pool. At first she was a little overwhelmed with all the noise, but she soon adjusted and had a just time splashing around in the water and waving at Nana.
We also made a visit to Bird World. When I was little, we would go to Bird World all the time in the summer to see the animals, it was my brothers favorite spot.

Abby loved the animals, but the bunnies were her favorite. When even got to hold one.

It was such a fun trip and we missed everyone the second we got in the car to leave. Thanks for
a great time! We LoVe You!!

Here is Laura dancing in Footloose! I am so mad that my camera died before I was done filming...oh well.

Luv These Girls!

While Abby and I were in Utah, we had the chance to visit Brett's family in Logan. We had a great time with the girls. From shopping to ice cream, it was a wonderful day! It was hard to leave.

Here are a few pictures of Abby coloring with the Gracie and Olivia at the Miekle's.
We love you! Thanks for a great day! Miss you lots and lots...

Our Lil' Crawler

Abby has had a big week with 'Baby Milestones'...

and another milestone:
TEETHING...

This is the face I have seen quite frequently throughout the process. Poor baby, she's in a lot of pain.
But, she is still a HaPpY baby even with the pain.

This is Abby getting ready to ride in the car while holding her penguin.

Finally, here is Abby crawlin' away from 'the scene', after pulling all the magazines and binders off the shelf...the lil' stinker. I'm in for it!
